At British Airways, our work experience opportunities are designed to give students an early introduction to professional life and a clearer understanding of the career paths available across our business.

Each year, we offer a range of work experience opportunities that may include insight days and hands‑on placements across teams such as Engineering, Customer Experience and Flight Operations. These opportunities change year to year and are shaped by business need, but all are designed to help students explore different roles, build confidence and gain a realistic perspective of what working at British Airways involves.

Our work experience programmes are aimed at school and college students in Year 9 and above who want to explore the world of work and begin thinking about their future careers.

For 2026, opportunities include:

  • Insight Days for students in Year 9 and above
  • Placements for students in Year 10 and above.
