Our Work Experience Programme covers 26 departments and has been awarded a Gold Standard by Fair Train. Each placement runs for five days and students are valued team members.

Heathrow Operations and Engineering
Our teams at Heathrow have a world-class reputation for maintaining a fleet of over 300 aircraft, managing 2,000 aircraft turnarounds and delivering to customers more than 250,000 bags a week.
Corporate and Support Functions
Our Head Office in Heathrow is where a lot of the magic happens, new technologies are developed, revenue streams are discovered, and new customer initiatives are designed to surprise and delight our global customer base.
London Gatwick, Customer and Engineering
Something new happens every 60 seconds at London Gatwick. Based at our South Terminal, Customer Service and Engineering make our customers’ journey as smooth and pleasant as possible.
At British Airways Maintenance Glasgow, highly skilled engineers carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks on every area of the aircraft.
Our base in Cardiff covers a variety of aspects of Engineering. From interiors to maintenance, the team ensure that our fleet of over 300 aircraft is safe and ready to fly.
Manchester Global Contact Centre
You’ll look after loyal members of our premium Executive Club, answering queries, changing customer bookings and delivering the best in everything.
Our team based at London City Airport work together as one team to deliver for 10,000 customers each day.
We have many resources and opportunities available to help teachers and parents support their students and children.
Teacher Take-off days
Teachers can join us for a day of work experience, where they can translate their learnings into the classroom.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, aviation-loving students to join us for a thrilling five-day Work Experience Placement. You’ll need to be highly motivated and ready to use this experience to gain an insight into the aviation industry and our business, to help you advance your career beyond school.
