BA Cityflyer is an airline with a difference. Yes, we’re part of the British Airways family, and we deliver the same impeccable customer service. But we also do things in our own, unique way.

We fly from London City Airport, just east of Canary Wharf, to a network of domestic and European destinations. Our Cabin Crew, pilots and Aircraft Engineers are all based at this single-terminal airport, so you’ll really get to know your colleagues.

You’ll also get to know our customers well, too. Many are frequent business travellers, so it's noy unusual to see familiar faces week after week, sometimes even day after day.

Engineering

Our engineering station at London City Airport is at the heart of keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to fly. With London City’s unique environment, quick turnarounds, and a fast-paced schedule, our engineers play a vital role in ensuring every aircraft is maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.

Pilots

Our pilots love flying in and out of London City Airport - and it’s not just the views that make BA Cityflyer such a unique place to build your career. With around 200 Captains and First Officers based at this close knit airport, you’ll quickly get to know your colleagues and feel part of the BA Cityflyer family. One day you might be making a night stop in Ibiza; the next, flying VIPs to the Monaco Grand Prix.

Cabin Crew

At BA Cityflyer, our Cabin Crew work in small teams, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact on every flight. You’ll be flying on our Embraer 190 fleet, looking after a mix of business and leisure customers travelling across the UK and Europe. With our comprehensive training programme, you’ll quickly become confident in safety procedures and ready to deliver the exceptional service we’re known for.

Head Office

We don’t just recruit for roles in the sky - we also offer a wide range of ground based career opportunities. Our Commercial, Finance, Human Resources and Operations teams, based in Manchester and London City Airport, play a key role in driving our commercial growth, maintaining strong financial performance, supporting colleague wellbeing, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all our flights.

Where will you join us?

London City Airport

London City Airport is located just east of Canary Wharf, with access to central London in under 30 minutes. Its most unique feature is its size – with just one terminal, the journey from kerbside to airside is around 15 minutes. Great transport links, including a DLR station within the terminal building, mean that it’s easy to travel to, wherever you’re coming from. BA Cityflyer colleagues also have free access to the airport’s secure car park.

Edinburgh Airport

We operate a Captains-only base at Edinburgh Airport, giving you the opportunity to live and work in Scotland’s capital while flying into one of Europe’s most distinctive and rewarding operating environments at London City Airport. It’s a chance to enjoy the best of both worlds: the lifestyle and convenience of an Edinburgh base, and the challenge and variety of London City Airport flying.

Head Offices

If you join us in a ground-based role, you’ll be based at either Pioneer House in Didsbury, Manchester, or City Aviation House at the Royal Docks, London. These teams cover a wide range of areas, including Ground Operations, Operations Control, Commercial, Finance, People, and Technical Engineering Support.
