The role:

Manager, Training Planning

The Global Learning Academy is responsible for planning and delivering training that helps our people build the skills and knowledge they need throughout their careers at British Airways. As Manager, Training Planning, you'll lead the team responsible for coordinating training across the business, ensuring training is planned effectively and resources are in place to meet business needs.

Leading a team, you'll work with colleagues from across British Airways to coordinate training across the business, helping ensure learning is delivered where and when it's needed. If you enjoy getting the best from people, bringing teams together and solving complex planning challenges, this is an excellent opportunity to do just that.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Training Planning team, ensuring training is planned and scheduled effectively across the business.
  • Balance training demand with trainer, facility and resource availability to deliver achievable training plans.
  • Work closely with Learning Business Managers, Design, Operations, Training Delivery and business stakeholders to ensure training plans reflect business priorities.
  • Act as the key point of contact for planning matters, resolving issues and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Lead, coach and develop your team, creating a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure planning activities are delivered accurately, within agreed timescales and in line with governance requirements.
  • Use planning data to identify trends, manage risks, forecast and support decision making.
  • Lead improvements to planning processes, increasing consistency, efficiency and service across the Global Learning Academy.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Leading and engaging a large team while coordinating complex scheduling requirements (Essential)
  • Operational resource planning experience (Essential)
  • Experience solving complex planning challenges (Essential)
  • Learning and development experience (Desirable)
