The role: Resource Delivery Executive
At British Airways, keeping our operation running smoothly depends on how well our plans are delivered in real time. Within our Operations Planning directorate, we turn workforce plans into day-to-day operational success.
As a Resource Delivery Executive, you’ll play a key role in this - deploying resources, supporting frontline teams and responding to live challenges to help keep the operation running safely and efficiently.
This role sits within the Resource Delivery team, reporting to a Resource Delivery Manager, and focuses on real-time deployment and operational support.
Planning or Delivery – what’s the difference?
We have opportunities across both Resource Planning and Resource Delivery, and we’ve outlined the key differences below to help you decide which role best suits you.
- Resource Planning is about building the plan - using data to forecast demand, create rosters and make sure everything is in place ahead of time.
- Resource Delivery is about running the plan - deploying people in real time, handling live issues and keeping the operation moving smoothly on the day.
Work Pattern: This role operates on a 7-day roster with early, day, and late shifts. Working hours may range between 04:30 and 21:00, including weekend coverage. Shift-based roles attract additional shift allowance. Shift-based roles offer an additional shift allowance.
What you’ll do:
- Review resource requirements for your area, considering skills, shift times and resource availability to ensure optimal coverage
- Support the delivery of a robust flying schedule for both the workforce and customers
- Handle on-the-day queries from the frontline workforce, providing timely support and resolution
- Collaborate with Resource Allocation teams to respond quickly to operational challenges
- Identify and help manage any resourcing risks affecting the operation
- Work with stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes during on-the-day events
- Work in a rostered shift pattern at Waterside, our corporate head office located near Heathrow Terminal 5

Your experience:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle frontline queries effectively – Essential
- Experience in an operational, planning or administrative environment with strong attention to detail – Essential
- Emotionally resilient and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing, 24/7 environment – Essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure – Essential
- Personable and approachable, with the ability to support colleagues and share best practice - Desirable
