This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

What you’ll do:

This role provides day to day leadership of the Flight Dispatch operational team, ensuring consistent delivery and ensures a high performance culture. It plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence and supports the Senior Manager Flight Dispatch in implementing strategic initiatives. The role ensures that Dispatchers and Duty Manager’s uphold BA’s technical, regulatory and safety standards.

  • A proactive, can‑do approach with the flexibility to adapt to disruption, support your team through change and champion smarter ways of working
  • The ability to see the bigger picture, translating strategic priorities into clear operational direction for your team

Your experience:

You’ll already be an experienced leader with a strong grounding in an Operational environment. We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven ability to lead high‑performance teams, including coaching, development and performance management of operational colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of aviation safety standards, regulatory frameworks and industry procedures
  • Experience working with complex operational systems and using real‑time data to support decision‑making and performance monitoring
  • A track record of driving operational improvements, embedding standards and influencing stakeholders across internal and external partners
