The role: Quality & Standards Lead

You will support the Quality & Standards Manager to oversee regulatory compliance and industry standards within the Global Operations Integrated Operational Control Centre as well as ensuring co-ordination of safety performance data and safety investigations that contribute to a safe and secure operation.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct safety investigations in line with our Corporate Safety and Security Standards
  • Analyse safety performance data to identify risks and/or recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Develop risk action plans to manage identified risks within BA Global Operations
  • Collaborate with Central Safety and Flight Operations teams to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure regulatory compliance within Global Operations Integrated Operations Control Centre.
  • Administer data for safety and quality meetings

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Strong understanding of aviation safety operational procedures and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage and influence others
  • Strong knowledge of safety, security and environmental requirements and legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Directorates in a regulated environment
  • Proactively plan projects to achieve deadlines without supervision
  • Ability to interpret safety data and identify potential areas for standards improvements

Your experience:

  • Experience in airline operations
  • Working with interpreting technical standards
  • Working in a safety critical environment
  • Auditing experience (desirable)
  • Experience working with Safety Management Systems
