The role:
Business Manager Euroflyer and GGS - Fixed Term Contract 12 Months
A strategic partner who drives key initiatives and ensures seamless coordination across Gatwick Subsidiaries to maximise organisational effectiveness.
What you’ll do:
- Business Management:
- Coordinate leadership meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Owns projects, initiatives and insights as required, liaising and working closely with business areas while identifying the required resources for delivery and monitoring progress.
- Maintain oversight of strategic tasks and escalate issues where necessary.
- Stakeholder Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, external partners, and key stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.
- Information & Communication:
- Creates a communication cadence linked to the annual strategy that covers in person, online and written communications aligned to the tentpole moments of the calendar.
- Draft clear, professional communications on behalf of the MD.
- Always maintain confidentiality.
- Ensures the MD is prepared with relevant high-quality materials for presentations and meetings (i.e. for Management Committee/ Board/ IAG/ Industry Presentations/ External meetings).
- Executive Support:
- Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing packs, and reports for internal and external meetings.
- Handle confidential matters and ensure timely responses to stakeholders.
- Light touch scheduling support, anticipating needs and resolving conflicts proactively.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for senior-level communication.
- Strong interpersonal and networking ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex schedules and priorities.
- Ability to analyze data and insights to inform decisions and make effective recommendations.
- Creative problem-solving and solution-focused approach to challenges.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
Your experience:
- Previous experience as a business manager or chief of staff.
- Experience working in a team environment, as well as independently and autonomously.
- Experience of working closely with senior leaders.
- Experience of delivering business strategy.
- Project management experience / capability.
