The role: Organisation Development Consultant PART TIME (Fixed Term Contract -  12 months)

Design and deliver the organisational strategy and plan for BA Euroflyer. The role is responsible for delivering projects aligned to the strategic agenda, focusing on learning and development, annual performance, culture and engagement supporting the business partners in talent management, and diversity and inclusion. Providing subject matter expertise, the role will focus on the longer-term build of organisational capability, aligned to the strategic intent of the two British Airways’ subsidiaries.

What you’ll do:

  • Based on the development needs of the leadership population, design, (on occasion deliver) and evaluate a range of programmes and one to one intervention to develop and enhance the capability of the leaders and people managers
  • Work alongside the business areas to develop learning interventions to support soft skill, knowledge and technical training needs creating a learning organisation where expertise and capability is valued and shared collaboratively
  • Lead the set up of the apprenticeship strategy, aligning Levy investment to the Talent Strategy and longer-term strategic capability needs
  • Create a performance and development infrastructure that aligns to the company and People strategies and supports organisational, team and individual high performance
  • Support the Senior Business Partner in developing foundational talent plan of BA Euroflyer and work with all teams to identify key succession roles
  • Embed the employee value proposition (OHI) into the People Strategy, driving a colleague centric approach
  • Work with Head of People & MD to implement companywide programmes and tools (including real time feedback) that will embed the culture, values and behaviours

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Excellent communicator who can create partnership relationships with all leaders
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong consultancy skills in defining business needs, researching and designing solutions
  • Basic-level project management skills and excellent planning and organisational skills (Desirable)
  • Capacity to work on more than one project simultaneously
  • Professional manner and sensitivity in managing confidential information regarding talent, succession and other people related data
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to use and manipulate data to make decisions and to create evaluations of projects

Your experience:

  • Excellent understanding of Organisation Development best practice
  • Experienced in design, delivery, and evaluation of learning interventions
  • Specialist expertise and understanding of theory and practice in the following areas: learning and development, leadership development, talent management & succession planning, employee engagement, performance management, organisational culture
  • Experience of managing project related budgets
