The role: Planning Support Executive
An excellent opportunity for a proactive self starter with strong planning, project management and organisational skills to join our Scheduled Maintenance Planning Team. We are looking for a friendly team player to join the team of Support Executives. You will be responsible for supporting the Scheduled Maintenance Planning Teams to plan & coordinate maintenance inputs. These inputs will be for our Longhaul and Shorthaul fleets contracted to internal as well as external maintenance providers at LHR, LGW, in the UK and overseas. You will be preparing data, coordinating and leading the readiness activities to ensure comprehensive workpack information is prepared and handed over to the Production areas. This will be done according to the team’s milestones and targets with the aim of making sure the Production areas are ‘ready to go’ to work the input and deliver our aircraft back safe and on time.
You’ll be prioritising work to meet operational requirements while working on your own initiative. As a Planning Support Executive your role is to lead and coordinate activities and stakeholder management meetings ensuring that the business objectives and milestones are achieved. Additionally, you will be creating aircraft modification embodiment schedules, coordinating continuous improvement initiatives and owning various other reporting activities. You will work to engineering procedures and use the SAP compliance and planning system.

What you’ll do:
- There is an expectation that you will undertake adhoc work on an exceptional basis or provide relevant cover for other team tasks
- Leads a team and/or well-defined project to ensure delivery of departmental objectives, as defined by head of department or line manager as part of objectives.
- Analysis of data relevant to operational and business performance and the reporting, presentation and communication of this information.
- Administration of various forms of information and data, including its collation, analysis and interpretation.
- Prioritisation, planning, organisation and delivery of complex tasks and scenarios, working within and across the department or team as required.
- Uses influence to set direction of a project or task.
- Considers departmental objectives in decision making, appreciating how decisions and actions taken impact own and other departments.
- Ensures high-quality communication takes place within the team and with all stakeholders, suppliers and customers. Responsible for guaranteeing that this takes place in a timely and accurate manner.
- Expected to work collaboratively within the department and throughout the airline as a whole, its partners and suppliers.
- Ensures compliance for self and team with all appropriate company, legal and regulatory requirements and any other regulations, as directed by line manager or the business.
- Creates a workplace culture which enables excellent teamwork and promotes high performance, in line with the company Commitments and Hallmarks.
