The role:
Off Base Material Representatives
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Off Base Material Representative in the Supply Chain team. This is an incredibly varied role involving working collaboratively with all our internal stakeholders as well as multiple external suppliers globally. The Off Base Material Representatives are responsible for Co-ordinating Logistics to support the timely arrival of spares, resolving material shortages and managing logistics providers for incoming and returned materials .

What you’ll do:
- Resolve material shortages by liaising with Operational/Heavy Maintenance/Inventory Management teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Establish a teamwork approach and communicate regularly with On-site Technical Representatives.
- Initiate and implement short-term recovery actions to minimize downtime.
- Take all critical requirements action to meet customer needs.-
- Manage logistics providers for incoming and returned materials.-
- Support contracts, drive performance improvement, and escalate issues as necessary.-
- Regularly check material stock and locations, manage high-cost material queries, and conduct data inaccuracy audits.-
- Manage the receipt process of CSP items, the robbery process, and compliance processes.-
- Research higher/lower assemblies using the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, IPC when there are material shortages.-
- Provide support to the Technical Rep team/Manager on material location, work orders, and fit/remove support.-
- Complete a detailed handover and copy at the end of each shift.

Your experience:
- Experience in Engineering or a Supply Chain environment for a minimum of 1 year
- Experience of influencing, communicating and negotiating both internally and externally to meet customer requirements
- Supplier management experience
- Innovative and adaptable to the management of change
- Analysis and interpretation of data
- Good awareness of Airworthiness Requirements with a good understanding of those requirements relating to component documentation
- Knowledge of British Airways quality requirements relating to the receipt and dispatch of aircraft spares
