A career without limits

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.
This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.
So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.
We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

- Encourage the transformation of maintenance processes, designing and embedding next generation ways of working.
- Lead business wide change initiatives, supporting teams through transition and securing long lasting improvements.
- Oversee key investment decisions and workforce planning to ensure resources are used efficiently and deliver real value.
- Build a constructive and engaging environment where teams feel supported through change and confident in their contribution to success.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
- Strategic thinking, combined with a clear and practical approach to delivery.
- A strong focus on quality and performance, with high expectations for standards and results.
- Experience leading change in a fast paced, safety-critical, unionised environment.
- Excellent relationship building skills with the confidence to engage and influence at all levels.
- A calm, solutions-focused mindset, particularly in challenging or complex situations.
- A forward-thinking attitude, with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
Your Experience:
- Proven leadership of a large maintenance organisation or engineering function.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end maintenance processes and regulatory H&S frameworks.
- Experience delivering sustained change and process improvement within a complex, industrial unionised environment.
- Relevant technical qualification or an engineering degree.
