The role: Engineering Apprentice Coordinator
This role primarily carries out a variety of administrative and clerical duties to assist in the functioning of the department. The Engineering Apprentice
Co-ordinator predominately supports the delivery of the Engineering Apprentice Team objectives and is expected to deal with internal areas of British Airways and external suppliers. This role can operate within all areas of the directorate and has a core set of accountabilities, which are applicable to all business units. The role will use standardised processes and
systems, which may be complex and require specific knowledge, with the focus always being on service delivery and customer satisfaction
SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday, 4 days in office, 1 day work from home
What you’ll do:
There is an expectation that you will undertake ad hoc work on an exceptional basis or provide
relevant cover for other team tasks
- May be required to lead a team and manage own time with little or no supervision.
- Administrative duties which should be undertaken using initiative, including the collation, analysis and interpretation of various forms of information and data. These duties may include involvement with a wide range of the activities of the engineering business support functions.
- This role is responsible for supporting the Engineering Apprentice Team with any functions required. These can be tasks listed below but are not limited to:
- Report production and presentation.
- Compilation of data and statistics, which may be from internal or external sources and transferring to local systems as required.
- Input to and updating of company systems and processes
- Organising, managing and participating in a range of departmental activities, maintaining use of initiative when appropriate. These activities include, but are not limited to training, development and project work, which can be related to any part of the wider organisation as necessary.
- Meeting minute taking including any performance, conduct and absence review meetings
- Supports with departments projects & events
- Supports with reporting and analytics, and training.
- Prioritisation, planning and organisation of both individual and team tasks as part of set objectives, ensuring that all reporting lines are adhered to and relevant departmental, team and individual objectives are fulfilled.
- Ensures high quality communication takes place with all stakeholders, suppliers and customers and that this takes place in a timely and accurate manner.
- Expected to work collaboratively within the department and with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with all appropriate company, legal and regulatory requirements and any other regulations, as directed by line manager or the business, with proactive problem solving being a priority.
