Placement Overview
Over three immersive days, you’ll gain a unique introduction to life at British Airways and the aviation industry. This short placement is designed to give you a real taste of what it’s like to work in Head Office at British Airways, helping you to explore potential career paths and build valuable experience for the future.
Your time with us will include:
- Hands-on project work that will challenge your creativity and teamwork.
- Shadowing colleagues across different business areas to see our people in action.
- Exclusive behind-the-scenes tours, giving you insight into what makes BA fly.
- The chance to connect with our teams, ask questions, and start building your network.
We’ll provide lunch each day and to make your placement as accessible as possible, we can cover travel expenses up to £200 per person (excluding hotels).
About You
This opportunity is open to first and second year university students from any discipline who are eager to learn more about our business and the aviation industry. We are looking for those who are motivated, ambitious and interested in pursuing a career in aviation.
Application Process and Timelines
- Applications for this placement will be open between 3rd November and 19th November 2025.
- Once you have submitted your application you will be invited to complete a video interview. The deadline to complete this will be 4th December 2025.
- If your video interview is successful, you will be invited to a virtual assessment centre in January 2026.
- If you are successful at assessment centre, we will contact you to confirm your place on the programme.

- You are only able to apply for one Discover BA Placement. Please ensure that you are applying for the placement that suits you best.
