The role:Technical Rep
To deliver Base Maintenance checks at Outsourced/External MRO’s
What you’ll do:
- Motivating and leading a team of colleagues to deliver Outsourced Base Maintenance checks at contracted MRO’s
- Ensure delivery of departmental and directorate objectives in line with the company commitments.
- Prioritisation, planning and delivery of complex and changing deliverables.
- Engages and manages MRO’s / suppliers to ensure they are accountable, maintain statutory airworthiness standards, compliance and deliver to the agreed milestone plan
- Management of check costs and remain within the financial constraints (invoice checking in line with contract)
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures, policies, legal and regulatory requirements
- Ability to travel and work overseas in different locations for a period of time is essential.
- Communicating and report on aircraft status to key stakeholders within BA
- Interface with Global Operations and Network Planning to both strategically and tactically align objectives and working processes to create a more achievable plan
- Support long term maintenance strategy to ensure all contracted suppliers are improving on performance and cost
- Maintain compliance with BA engineering mandatory training requirements.
- Creates a workplace culture which enable excellent teamwork and promotes high performance, in line with the company procedures and commitments.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:

Your experience:
- Experience of working in a Base Maintenance or CAMO environment
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of maintenance processes and systems
- Knowledge of EASA/UK CAA regulations/ risk assessments and risk mitigation
- Knowledge of H&S legislation and its application
- Appropriate technical qualification, e.g. Apprenticeship/License UK/CAA B1/2 /Degree
