The role: Logistics Controller
Working as part of our Materials and Logistics teams to support BA Cityflyer’s operation across the UK and Europe. BA Cityflyer currently operates a fleet of 20 Embraer E190 aircraft on a network across the UK and Europe, with a main base at London City and various night-stopping outstations.
The Logistics Team manages the primary bonded stores located near London City Airport, oversees a Line Stores facility at the airport, and provides support for maintenance activities at multiple outstations.
Salary banding: £29,719 to £33,021 per annum
What you’ll do:
- Assist in ensuring that all stores tasks are controlled and monitored in accordance with CAA requirements
- Ensure all aircraft parts used by Engineering are accurately tracked via our MRO system
- Accountable all stock movement into and out of stores
- Support the Lead Logistics Controllers to ensure that all material tasks are properly controlled
- Ensure all aircraft parts, incoming and outgoing are accurately processed
- Support AOG requests
- Conduct all tasks in accordance with BA CityFlyer procedures and processes
- Complete customs paperwork and declarations as required for all shipments
- Assist with any other projects and ad-hoc tasks as required
- You’ll be required to obtain a Company Stores Inspector approval via on the job training programme
What you’ll bring to BA Cityflyer:
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative without supervision and flexibly to cover the required shift pattern.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation.
- IT literate, including experience using Microsoft Office and stock control systems
- Will need to hold a full clean UK driving license (including Category B, manual)
- Will need to provide a full 5 year employment history for airside pass application and approval
Your experience:
- Previous experience of inventory control/logistics
- Previous experience of Aviation Stores/Logistics desirable but not essential
- Experience of working to Company and Third-Party procedures.
- Experience of working in the airport environment, including on the ramp
- Dangerous Goods awareness or experience.
- Knowledge of statutory airworthiness regulations
- Awareness of Health and Safety regulations
