The role: Flight Technical Services Manager

Salary: £46,075 - £51,194 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for a Flight Technical Services Manager to join our Air Operations department based at London City Airport.

What you’ll do:

Working alongside the Flight Technical and Safety Manager you will lead the Flight Technical Services Team to assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant operation. The role is critical in ensuring continual support for the Air Operations Technical team to maintain the smooth running of the BA Cityflyer fleet. The role requires continual, good effective management to generate, implement, and monitor vital operational support functions.

You will be required to provide Flight Operational Engineering support for the BA Cityflyer fleet, this will include eFB updates of performance, Flight Management System (FMS) updates and maintenance as well as assisting with the production and maintenance of safety-critical operational data.

What you’ll bring to BA Cityflyer:

The role requires the successful candidate to be accountable for the publication of BA Cityflyer Operations Manuals and maintain knowledge of, and be responsible for the Flight Technical Services team remaining abreast of regulatory legislation. This includes working with the Compliance team to ensure regulatory requirements are maintained.

Due to the variety within the role the successful candidate will need the ability to prioritise key tasks, will need previous people management experience, and demonstrate they have worked in a regulatory environment.

Your experience:

Previous experience and skills for competent and proficient use of Office Software

Proven experience of leading a team

Experience of working with 3rd party regulators (i.e NATS, CAA) within a regulatory environment
