The role:
To drive the smooth delivery of BA’s transformation portfolio, by providing essential Centre of Excellence services. This includes coordinating governance, delivering in-depth analysis and insights, developing and optimising tools, promoting standard processes, and drive a culture of transformation through capability building and impactful transformation engagement plans.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure the Transformation leadership have visibility of the overall portfolio, including all initiatives and associated important metrics through the Transformation tool.
- Enhance and refine Transformation Office procedures and processes, using the best methodologies in key areas such as prioritisation, planning, risk and dependency management, and assurance.
- Align with the strategy and direction for Transformation Office data and analytics by extracting relevant data, designing dashboards, sharing business insights, and automating solutions.
- Develop deep expertise in Transformation datato ensure that data used for reports, analytics, and insights is accurate and reliable.
- Maintain and improve Transformation tools and uphold data quality standards.
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to Transformation tool users on processes, procedures, and services.
- Communicate key insights clearly and optimally to stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve issues collaboratively, using structured iterative approaches such as requirements workshops.
- Assess the broader impacts of decisions and their alignment with the business plan.
- Challenge and influence decision-makers within the business area to drive optimal outcomes.
- Lead your own portfolio of work with outstanding project and time management practices, operating independently.
- Drive the engagement and a culture of Transformation across BA, developing effective & innovative engagement plans and impactful communications.
- Support the development and delivery of transformation capability through learning packages such as Learning Pathways and skill-specific modules.
- Contribute to the maturity and efficiency of the Transformation Centre of Excellence and support team development.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Good effective communication, influencing at a team level (written and verbal) and successfully manage expectations
- Demonstrable experience of successful delivery of transformation/portfolio management office activities
- Ability to effectively influence individuals & teams (direct/indirect), working collaboratively to deliver results
- Manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Capable of meeting high quality standards
- Effective at prioritising work and staying focused on what is important
- Ability to adapt to dynamically evolving fast paced environment and use your own initiative to problem solve
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to implement plans to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
- Able to structure well-defined business problems into a clear and concise set of issues, identifies key stakeholders and scopes the appropriate level of analysis required to deliver insight
- Skilled in using diverse analytical tools and techniques and data visualisation experience
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel Skills
Your experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent is advantageous but not essential
- Professional Project Management/Portfolio Management Office qualification/accreditation is desirable
