You could soon be part of the next chapter of our story as there is an exciting opening for a Technical Engineer - In-Flight Technology.

Our team is extremely privileged to be at the heart of the customer proposition in Engineering. We are responsible and accountable for all our In-Flight Entertainment, Connectivity, In-seat Power & Cabin Lighting systems across existing BA aircraft and new fleet deliveries over the next 5 years. This involves multiple global suppliers and maintenance organisations as part of a multi-billion pound investment. Our team scopes, embodies and provides technical support for brand new, cutting edge aircraft IFT systems as well as retrofitting IFT systems onto the existing longhaul and shorthaul fleet. Our aim is to deliver world class IFT systems for our customers who enjoy flying BA.

We're looking for someone who has a background in Avionics and ideally is already familiar with IFE, Connectivity and other cabin avionic systems. You should be energetic, conscientious and diligent, focused, self-driven and organised. You will be delivering and technically supporting all our In-Flight Technology systems to the highest reliability levels, safely, on time and within budget through collaboration with stakeholders across the BA and IAG business as well as numerous suppliers and MROs.

Job role requires some overseas travel and flexibility to provide technical support to our operational fleet when necessary.

Your experience:

  • Experience in people development and career pathways
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Project Management experience
  • Stakeholder Management experience
  • Computer literate and competent in all core Microsoft programmes
  • Proficient in developing fast and effective relationships with partners
  • Able to challenge at all levels
