The Role: Product Designer - 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover.
Join our innovative commercial team at British Airways as a Product Designer on ba.com, our global storefront and service hub for millions of travellers. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in crafting human-centred digital experiences that embody our iconic brand and resonate with millions of travellers worldwide. You’ll help shape user experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with our future ambitions and meeting our customers ever-changing needs
What You’ll Do:
- Turn complex challenges into clean, beautiful designs that are easy to use and inclusive by default.
- Design intuitive, engaging interfaces using human-centred design and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Collaborate with product owners, researchers, developers, and stakeholders to create digital products across responsive web and app platforms
- Lead and contribute to workshops that foster alignment and innovation across teams.
- Use research, testing, and analytics to guide your design decisions and continuously evolve user journeys.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes and interactions, bringing motion and animation into the user experience.
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure our design system, tone, and accessibility standards are consistently applied.
- Contribute to the evolution of our design language and help shape the future of design at British Airways.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with a passion for elegant and user-focused design.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to guide and mentor others in human-centred design.
- A keen understanding of design systems and scalable design approaches.
- Resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments, with a bias for action and delivering impact.
Your Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UX or Product Design, with a strong preference for work on consumer-facing digital products.
- A portfolio that demonstrates elegant, intuitive design across multiple devices.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Figma, UserTesting, Miro, and other modern design platforms.
- Familiarity with agile product teams and cross-functional collaboration, including research and development.
- A degree in a design-related discipline is a plus.
