The role:


Lead a team to define, track, analyse and report on revenue management performance against network optimised flight and route-based revenue targets

What you’ll do:

  • Lead, coach and motivate a team to provide analysis and insight on network, journey group, route and flight performance using key commercial metrics (CRASK, load factor, p/RPK etc.)
  • Lead the performance review process within Revenue Management and the story-telling and reporting of performance to broader stakeholders within Commercial, Finance, BA Management Committee, IAG etc.
  • Manage the bottom-up revenue forecasting process up to and including RPG level (fare, redemption and ancillary revenue) on behalf of Revenue Management ensuring consistency of assumptions with Commercial strategy for Business & Leisure
  • Provide the analytical lead to the budget/target process through incorporating New Rev Man system output vs FP/RFx and vs LY and identifying flows/areas of risk/opportunity for closer examination
  • Support Revenue Delivery Managers in identifying network wide opportunities to improve CRASK, load factor, p/RPK etc. by providing insightful analysis, including for overbooking
  • Analyse impact of planned schedule and aircraft changes and provide insight and analysis to Commercial Operations team to support best in class solutions for disrupted customers
  • Support entity teams with analysis required for legal compliance e.g. UK Competition and Market Authority questions

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Strong analytical skills: Highly numerate and able to generate insight from complex and often conflicting data
  • Strong people manager, able to recruit, develop and lead analytical talent
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Proactive & delivery focused with track record of anticipating requirements & using own initiative
  • Strong stakeholder management, able to build relationships and influence across functions and partnerships
  • Skilled in synthesising complex information into key issues to present confidently and clearly to all levels

Your experience:

  • Qualifications/experience demonstrating analytical ability
  • Strong practical experience in developing analytical code (SQL/SAS)
  • Experience of presenting work accurately with a high standard of presentation skills
  • Experience in leading a team to deliver insight and/or reporting solutions
