The Role: Leadership & Talent Development Manager (12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover)
Join our Global Learning Academy at British Airways as a Leadership & Talent Development Manager, a key role in shaping the future of our people strategy. You will lead the design and delivery of innovative leadership and talent development programmes that build skills, inspire performance, and drive engagement across our organisation.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify skill gaps and align development initiatives with strategic goals.
- Design and implement impactful leadership and talent development programmes that build capabilities and support succession planning.
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure development strategies are responsive to business needs and integrated with broader organisational priorities.
- Champion a coaching culture by facilitating coaching and mentoring networks to support knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
- Evaluate programme effectiveness through data-driven insights and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Manage budgets effectively to deliver cost-efficient, high-quality learning and development solutions.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive and development-focused culture.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:

Your Experience:
- Proven experience in leadership and talent development, L&D, or a related field.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of modern learning principles and experience with innovative development solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
- CIPD qualification (preferred but not essential).
