The role:

Innovation Implementation Manager

INTERNAL- 12 month Secondment / EXTERNAL - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Are you excited about transforming ideas into reality? We are looking for a dynamic Innovation Implementation Manager to lead our improvement and innovation processes within the Engineering department. In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate the collection and filtering of innovative ideas, working closely with our team of technology and process experts to prioritise and develop these concepts into tangible solutions. You’ll be responsible for guiding these ideas through various stages, including proof of concept, proof of value, or business case creation, and ultimately implementing viable solutions into our operations. Your efforts will directly contribute to fostering a culture of innovation, ensuring that the best ideas are brought to life. If you’re passionate about inspiring change and harnessing creativity to deliver real-world results, this role is perfect for you!

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Business Improvement and Innovation Manager in designing and implementing improvement and innovation processes.
  • Assist in planning and executing innovation campaigns across Engineering areas.
  • Document successful innovation initiatives and share best practices with the wider team.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate new products and services into Engineering operations.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent medium-range planning and organisational skills
  • Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively conveying ideas and plans.
  • Proficiency in documentation and report writing.
  • Innovation mindset, Collaboration skills, Attention to detail and Project management proficiency

Your experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous experience in improvement and innovation roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
