The role: GSE Strategy & Implementation Manager
This role offers a chance to be at the core of British Airways' operations, leading the strategic direction for the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) fleet at Heathrow, one of the busiest airports in the world. As a mid-senior level role, you’ll collaborate closely with operational leaders, finance teams, procurement, and suppliers to ensure that GSE strategies align with business objectives and operational efficiency.
What you’ll do:
In this pivotal role, you will be reporting to the Head of Critical Services. Working closely with other senior leaders to manage the capital investment plans for Ground Service Equipment (GSE) at British Airways hub, Heathrow. With a substantial cost base exceeding £30m annually, you will be responsible for ensuring that GSE replacements and upgrades are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the operational needs of the airline. Your work will directly contribute to the safe, efficient, and punctual delivery of over 330 daily departures at Heathrow.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Extensive stakeholder Management Experience

- Understanding of procurement and contractual processes

- Experience in complex negotiations
- Ability to influence at all levels
Desirable:
- Proven background in operational management and procurement
- Influencing at all levels
- Understanding of airline regulatory environment and restrictions
- Working knowledge of airline planning and operations, including Ground Service Equipment
