The Role: Change Lead
Join our dynamic IT Operations team at British Airways where you will play a pivotal role in shaping how technology changes are governed and delivered across the organisation. This is a key position in ensuring the successful implementation of change management processes, enabling the safe, secure, and seamless operation of our digital ecosystem.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support the implementation of Change Management procedures that enable both agile and traditional delivery approaches.
- Evolution of the change process to increase change velocity and handle high volumes of change by adopting new and evolving change models including Multimodal and DevOps change to automate change registration, approvals, and workflows.
- Govern the entire change lifecycle, ensuring changes are implemented effectively and align with BA Digital’s strategic goals.
- Manage risks and impacts of change, ensuring comprehensive testing and back-out plans are in place.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive cross-functional resolution of change-related issues.
- Provide insightful data analysis and reporting on change performance trends, identifying improvement initiatives to boost stability and efficiency.
- Support audit and compliance activities, ensuring process adherence across BA Digital and third-party suppliers.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
- A collaborative and detail-focused mindset with the ability to work across boundaries and influence outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience partnering with technical and business teams to deliver meaningful results.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, with a passion for IT service excellence.
Your Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL Change Management practices, ideally supported by an ITIL v4 qualification.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow in a large, complex organisation.
- A proven track record of driving change improvements and ensuring compliance in IT environments.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, cross-cultural teams and managing relationships with third-party suppliers.
