The Role: Application Service Manager
We’re looking for a driven Application Service Manager to join our BA Digital Delivery team. This internal leadership role ensures the effective planning, implementation and support of critical applications, working closely with product teams and stakeholders to deliver agile change and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the Application Support team, driving performance, service quality and agile delivery.
Act as the primary link between users, product squads, vendors and IT support teams.
Define and embed best practices across support processes and service operations.
Oversee system enhancements and production support requests, ensuring seamless delivery.
Champion business change, SharePoint configuration, and AWS optimisation.
Nurture strong, collaborative relationships across BA Digital and wider business teams.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
Strong understanding of support operations, with the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
Experience in managing IT/Application Support teams, including vendor engagement and SLAs.
Excellent communication, emotional intelligence and a structured, solution-focused mindset.
A solid grounding in ITIL practices, legacy and OTS systems, and agile methodologies.
Confidence navigating uncertainty with adaptability and commercial awareness.
