The role:

BA Euroflyer - CAMO Technical Engineer

To ensure the completion of all applicable urgent regulator and manufacturer requirements and non-mandatory modifications on the BA Euroflyer aircraft and engines in co-ordination with the sub-contracted maintenance organisation to support the continued airworthiness of the BA Euroflyer fleet.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for reviewing the recommendation of sub-contracted Engineering organisation, evaluation and approval of technical documentation that ensures the organisation operates in a safe, reliable and cost-effective manner.
  • Supervision of both urgent and non-mandatory modifications, including proposed disassembly and scope of the work to be carried out in the workshop visits.
  • Supports optimal technical decision making of the sub-contracted Engineering organisation and across the team, leading technical discussions across departments, using expertise and considering the business effects.
  • Responsible for maintaining technical standards, policy and strategic direction including scoping the impact of, and influencing, future legislation.
  • Acts as a consultant on technical and airworthiness matters on behalf of BA Euroflyer with internal and external suppliers, customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Managing relationships with the sub-contracted Engineering and Manintence supplier to ensure that all service levels and targets are met including cost effectiveness.
  • Supports oversight of fleet reliability, monitoring fleet technical performance and developing improvement plans to ensure performance targets are achieved.
  • Leading or supporting technical investigations in line with the corporate safety management processes.
  • Reports, presents and communicates operational business performance, sub-contracted Engineering organisation and significant events to senior stakeholders in a timely and effective manner

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Knowledge of business, regulatory and operating environment
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and adapt to audiences
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with relevant stakeholders, aircraft and equipment manufacturers and other key suppliers
  • Knowledge of safety and quality management systems
  • Knowledge of regulations including EASA Part M, Part 145 and Part 21.
  • Project management, organisation & prioritisation
  • Report and business case writing with high degree of commercial awareness

Your experience:

  • Experience of working within a technical or continuing airworthiness management department.
  • Experience of the aircraft certification, technical support and maintenance from a practical and continued airworthiness viewpoint.
  • Experience searching out new ways to deliver continuous improvement and cost improvements
  • Experience of Airbus Aircraft and Documentation.
  • Experience of working in a low-cost operation.
  • Knowledge of CAA Part-M, Part 145 and Part 21 requirements
  • Knowledge of scheduled maintenance planning activities
