About the Role - Finance Business Partner - Commercial, Customer & Reporting
Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 per annum depending on experience
In this role you’ll collaborate closely with the Commercial and Customer team to provide financial insights, analysis, support and strategic guidance, helping meet their financial and strategic goals. This role has accountability for the maintenance and accuracy of the route accounting, management reporting and forecasting model, the production of the annual financial plan and support the Financial Controller in providing quality financial information to the leadership teams.
This is a hands-on role with varied scope providing all aspects of accounting and financial support to key business areas responsible for significant cost budgets.
What you’ll do:
- Provide financial support and guidance to the Commercial & Customer management team, to assist in decision making and strategic planning.
- Management of the monthly financial close process to include production of Management Accounts with variance analysis & commentary.
- Responsible for the production and presentation of timely and insightful financial analysis, including KPI tracking, to aid the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) & Leadership Team (LT) in making well informed business decisions.
- Ownership of the monthly route profitability reporting to LT
- Developing financial modelling to support departmental projects and initiatives
- Manage the production of the annual Financial Plan model, working closely with the Financial Controller and SLT. Producing analysis of costs and revenue, and challenging areas for efficiencies.
- Seek opportunities to deliver continuous improvement
- Support to Financial Controller and deputising as applicable
- KPI reporting, management reporting; finance scenario modelling and supporting the wider team with ad hoc work.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Proven experience of business partnering and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

- Effective communication skills
- Ability to present financial information to non-finance managers in a clear and concise manner
- Advanced level of Excel skills & experience of Power Query and Power BI
- Experience of working with & developing financial models
- Experience of managing colleagues
- Flexible & proactive approach to work
- You’ll need to be fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- You'll need previous experience of business partnering and building strong relationships with stakeholders
