British Airways Maintenance Glasgow (BAMG)
British Airways Maintenance Glasgow was established in 1966. We currently have 300 colleagues responsible for the major maintenance of the British Airways short-haul Airbus A320 family.
Teams work together as one at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow. Our highly skilled engineers carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks on every area of the aircraft. That means the wings, engines, landing gear, centre section, tail, holds, cabin and avionics – everything. Our work could be something as small as touching up paint to something as big as replacing a full landing gear.
We also have our very own repair team, working alongside the internal and composite workshops. These teams are responsible for carrying out a wide range of repairs to various components and aircraft structures.
And then there are various support teams such as Planning, Technical, Production and Engineering – and, to keep everyone in check, Compliance. On this placement, you’ll gain a broad understanding of short-haul heavy maintenance within Engineering at British Airways. This could be planning the next maintenance input for BAMG or gaining hands-on experience with some of our world-class engineers who love the challenge of carrying out the maintenance of a British Airways aircraft. You’ll also experience the sense of satisfaction and achievement of delivering an industry-leading product back to British Airways.
