British Airways Maintenance Glasgow
At British Airways Maintenance Glasgow (BAMG), our highly skilled engineers carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks on every area of the aircraft (Wings, Engines, Landing Gear, Centre Section, Tail, Holds, Cabin, and Avionics). This could be something as small as touching up paint to something as big as replacing a full landing gear. We also have our very own repair team, working alongside the internal and composite workshops. These teams are responsible for carrying out a wide range of repairs to various components and aircraft structures.
We also have various support teams such as Planning, Technical, Production Engineering, and to keep everyone in check there is the Compliance Department.
On this placement, you’ll gain a broad understanding of short-haul heavy maintenance as part of engineering within British Airways. This could be planning the next maintenance input for BAMG or hands-on experience with some of our world-class engineers carrying out the maintenance of a British Airways aircraft. You will also gain experience of the sense of satisfaction and achievement of delivering an industry-leading product back to British Airways.
