I never really enjoyed school, and always saw myself getting a qualification through my job. It’s exactly what I’m doing now in my Head Office Apprenticeship, working towards a Level 4 NVQ. I had been looking at a career in Marketing & Sales, and my A-level choices reflected that - Media, Photography, Communication and Fashion. But British Airways attracted me because it’s a well recognised global brand with good opportunities.
I currently work in UK&I Sales & Events, and in all honesty, no two days are the same. I’m quite heavily involved in our large corporate accounts, and spend a lot of my time assisting with hosting hospitality events and delivering great customer service.
What amazed me about British Airways when I first started was seeing how big it was. They place a massive emphasis on British heritage, and take your training very seriously. I’ve now got regular training days, and an exciting new life in London.
If you’re motivated, hungry for success, and have a strong work ethic, then a British Airways apprenticeship is right for you.”
Getting here involved an online application, followed by a telephone interview and an assessment day. Everyone I work with is really social, and loves travelling. If that sounds like you, and if you play well in a team, then I think you’d be happy.
British Airways welcomes anyone who is motivated and has a good work ethic. If you’ve got what it takes to make the most of the opportunity, then it could be the start of a successful career.
