Are you a talented systems management professional looking for an exciting new challenge? We are currently seeking a driven System and Standards Support Manager to join our dynamic, newly formed Ops Planning organisation and lead the strategy, development, deployment, and maintenance of our Resource Planning and Delivery Systems. As a key interface between internal and external service departments, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation by ensuring that our systems are secure, reliable, modern, and compliant with industry standards. As British Airways drives an agenda of digital innovation, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to contribute to our IT roadmap, strategy, and policy development. Ensuring that our technology roadmap remains modern, agile, and innovative. Systems & Standards Support Manager
The role of System and Standards Support Manager is a critical position responsible for managing the Resource Planning and Delivery Systems. The successful candidate will be part of a team of professionals responsible for ongoing strategy, development, maintenance, and support of IT systems to ensure they are secure, reliable, and compliant and offer a world class digital experience to all our colleagues. They will also be a key interface between internal and external service departments. They will be pivotable in providing support for legacy systems and the change process to move of these legacy platforms. The role involves leading the development, deployment, security, resiliency, stability and change management of systems while contributing to organisational policy and strategic planning.
Qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidate for the role of System and Standards Support Manager should possess a combination of strong technical, and interpersonal skills, along with relevant qualifications and experience in IT management. They should have a proven track record in delivering IT projects on time and within budget while managing compliance with regulations and industry standards. They should have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with internal, external and c-suite stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines are also essential. The candidate should be proficient in project management, analytical skills, and an understanding/experience with ITIL framework and KITC. A passion for Resource Planning and operational delivery would be a bonus!
