Job Description

About the role

Can you envisage yourself planning the manpower behind a 1500 strong operational workforce? Do you have excellent analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving?

We are recruiting for a Resource Planning Analyst to develop and deliver the people and equipment resource plans for our Heathrow hub operation, the centre of IAG Cargo's global network.

On a daily basis, as well as networking with our Operational Managers to ensure that rosters are built to provide optimum cover, you’ll also have to integrate the non-operational manpower requirements (such as training and leave) and provide short and long term plans. This is so operational risk can be managed accordingly and in line with peaks in forecast and potential supply constraints.

Using your analytical ability, you’ll have to ensure that flights schedules and productivity are regularly reviewed so that manpower plans are realistic and reflect what really takes place in our warehouse facilities.

  • Excellent data analysis / highly numerate
  • Problem solver
  • Python and advanced Excel
  • Ability to build and main strong relationships (Operational teams, Trade Unions and General Managers).
  • Excellent people management skills; capable of challenging the status quo
  • Ability to convert complex data into understandable formats

An understanding of the nature of rostering, planning, resourcing and working practices along with a high level of numeracy and excellent data analysis skills are the key to success.

We are looking for an energetic, dynamic, positive, enthusiastic individual who can think laterally and act through reasoned decision making.

The benefits of working for us

As part of our growing workforce you will receive a competitive salary as well as access to a variety of our excellent benefits including 26 days holiday, DC pension scheme, discounts with many high street retailers and good development prospects.

Non-contractual benefits include the opportunity to participate in the IAG Cargo annual incentive scheme and staff travel concessions.
