The Role

An opportunity to play a key role in driving improvement in safety and quality standards within the BA Engineering Quality department. Interfacing with all levels of engineering, throughout the business, working together to maintain high standards and promoting continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role you need a good understanding of the Part 145, Part 66 and Part 147 regulatory requirements and have meticulous attention to detail. Be able to engage with engineering departments and process applications for licenses and company approvals. You will be confident engaging with all levels of engineering and our regulatory authorities.

You would preferably have experience working in an authorisation and approvals department within a maintenance repair organisation, where you would have reviewed Part 66 licence applications. Qualifications would preferably include a BTEC L3 qualification or equivalent, preferably in an engineering or aviation/safety management subject. A strong competency in MS word and Excel and procedure authoring.

You will of course have a strong knowledge of quality standards, interpersonal skills and be willing to gain a detailed understanding of BA’s processes, procedures and regulatory requirements and to achieve any qualifications required for the role.

You will also need to hold a full UK EC/EEA manual driving licence.

In return we will offer support and the potential for the right person to develop towards achieving knowledge and experience in all aspects of the approvals and authorisations role, where you would be confident in managing a small team of up to 5 colleagues.
