This is a key time to be joining British Airways as we Build a Better BA. We take huge pride in our past – but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are. If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we’re connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else.
Great journeys require first-class aircraft. That’s why our world class engineering function is so important to the British Airways customer experience. In our team, you get to work in unrivalled facilities on one of the most diverse fleets around. Get ready to push your engineering skills to ensure our customers fly in the safest, most reliable aircraft in the skies.
In return for keeping our fleet at the forefront of the sector, you’ll receive great rewards and lots of scope to develop your engineering skills and progress your career.
Would you like to join us as a Powerplant Technical Team Leader with responsibility for managing a team of Technical Engineers, who are charged with responsibility for the safety, reliability, operational performance and maintenance costs of our engines and APUs?
In addition to managing and mentoring a team of technical engineers, it is a role that will allow you to design and develop technical and commercial solutions for our operating fleet by working collaboratively with aviation authorities, key suppliers and colleagues across the airline. You’ll be aware that the British Airways Boeing fleet is complex, with the need to maintain the reliability of the A320, A380 and B777 as well as embracing the new technologies of the A350, B787 and B777X.
It is a great opportunity to develop your career both in the technical field and within the wider community. You will be given the support to gain Technical Engineer Part M, Part 145 and Part 21 CCE & CVE approvals with potential career development to Management roles.
This is a role which rewards your knowledge, collaboration, energy and resilience.
