At British Airways, we take huge pride in our past – but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are.
If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we’re connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Material Controller in the Supply Chain Programmes team responsible for the management of technical modifications. This is an incredibly varied role involving working collaboratively with all our internal stakeholders as well as multiple external suppliers globally.
The Material Controller for technical mods is responsible for managing the end to end process of delivering the material required for the modification of all of the aircraft in our fleet improving both safety and reliability. Your key stakeholders will be our technical engineering and Programmes team but due to the safety critical nature of many of the projects that you will manage, you will also need to be able to work collaboratively with planning and quality teams. You will need strong project management and communication skills as well as good analytical capability. Technical knowledge of any of the aircraft that we operate would also be an advantage as would previous procurement or buying experience.
