Cargo & Ground Operations
Imagine taking full responsibility for the commercial and operational flight management activity of one of the world’s largest international air cargo companies. This is an exciting opportunity for a Flight Management Analyst to develop a career with IAG Cargo – a core business within IAG, the holding company of British Airways.
Every year, IAG Cargo carries almost a million tonnes of freight, mail and courier shipments to 200 destinations in more than 80 countries. The British Airways network and our freighter programme make us one of the largest single carrier networks with a reliable schedule and same day connections between most continents and destinations.
Your objective will be to exceed customer expectations at consignment level for all cargo bookings, while maximising the profitability of every flight, meeting legislative requirements and minimising operational disruption. You’ll achieve this by evaluating and accepting cargo bookings based on rate, demand, capacity and the likelihood of ‘no shows’ or cancellations, and setting the commercial plan to ensure product promises are met. The role will involve interacting with a range of stakeholders, as well as identifying opportunities to fill unused capacity and grow revenues.
Your in-depth knowledge of the air cargo industry will have given you detailed knowledge of aircraft payloads and capacities, ULD parameters and loading requirements, along with relevant legislation. Numerate, analytical, articulate and intuitive, you’ll have the proven ability to evaluate business problems and assess their impact on customers, operations and revenue. You’ll be someone who thrives under pressure, able to manage complex situations across cross-functional teams and confident enough to challenge assumptions.
