If you aspire to be a Captain of the future and have impressive determination, impeccable professionalism and total devotion to our customers, we would love to hear from you. Experienced commercial pilots can apply via the Direct Entry Pilot Scheme.
You belong up here with us. That’s why we’ll provide you with world-class training, invaluable experience and the rewards and career progression you would expect from a global premium airline.
This recruitment campaign is for pilots that currently operate the Airbus A319/A320/A321, A330, A340, A350 and A380. You must have a valid rating on an Airbus with a minimum of 500 hours on type. To be considered for the A350 or A380 you will need 1500 hours on an aircraft that satisfies ZFT with 500 hours on type.
The A320 remains our primary recruiting fleet and most offers for the A320 are at Gatwick, there may be additional requirements for Heathrow. Your base will be confirmed at point of offer and there is no guarantee of an offer to the A350 or A380 even if you meet the entry requirements although we will always endeavour to match flying experience and assessment performance to the most appropriate fleet. Further Long Haul opportunities on our Boeing fleet could also be offered depending on operational requirements at that time.
For prospective pilots that are not operating these aircraft types, you can still apply to join BA for our Boeing – Long Haul campaign or Direct Entry Pilot.
If you are selected, the assessment will involve a testing session, an interview and a simulator session. The assessment dates are ongoing.
