BA Cityflyer is an airline with a difference. Yes, we’re part of the British Airways family and take great pride delivering the same impeccable customer service. However, we also do things in our own, unique way.

We serve a business and leisure market from London City, a single-terminal airport just east of Canary Wharf. It’s a place where you’ll really get to know your colleagues and become part of a close-knit team.

You might also get to know our customers too, some of whom fly with us weekly, or even daily. In fact, our diverse and dedicated team really feel like they’re part of a family when they join us.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in exciting places, a job at BA Cityflyer is yours to make.

This is an airline where your original personality and skills will really shine through.

The role: Resource Planning Analyst

Salary bandings for this role dependent on experience & location:

Manchester: £41,259 - £48,540 per annum, London City Airport: £45,611- £53,660 per annum

Do you have an analytical mindset and are looking to take your career to the next level in the aviation industry?

The Resource Planning Analyst role is critical to ensure the accurate and robust planning of pilot and cabin crew resources across BA’s two subsidiary airlines, BA Cityflyer and BA Euroflyer. You’ll own and maintain manpower plans, ensuring the optimum number and location of crew to deliver the operation. You’ll work with stakeholders across the business, tracking against financial plans, supporting key operational decisions and industrial relations. In the subsidiary airlines, we value capability and attitude as much as experience - so if you are new to aviation, keen to experience the breadth a smaller airline can offer, or keen for a fast-track to leadership roles, this is the job for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and maintain pilot and cabin crew resource plans
  • Report on crew resource KPIs including tracking against financial plan
  • Partner with – and support - senior stakeholders across the business
  • Work as part of the Crew Resource team to identify efficiency improvement opportunities and novel approaches

What you’ll bring to BA Cityflyer:

The successful candidate will be pro-active and ambitious, and possess strong planning, numeracy, and analytical skills and have excellent communication skills to understand and convey problems concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, the role requires problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and an ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.

Your Experience:

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or hold an equivalent qualification or experience), with strong analytical skills, including using Microsoft Excel. They should also be highly IT literate, a good communicator and able to work as part of a team.

What we offer:

We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play. It’s one of the reasons our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.

From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.

At BA Cityflyer you’ll have the chance to take on new challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you. We encourage all those who work for us to consider opportunities right across our business to help you develop and progress.

We never stand still, and we don’t expect our people to either.

Inclusion & Diversity

At BA Cityflyer we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity, and identity to work.

Inclusion and diversity are a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA Cityflyer.
