Show us what you’re made of working for one of the world’s largest cargo companies. But if you think this is only about moving baggage, think again. Bring your creativity, resourcefulness and initiative to transporting everything from zebras to life-saving medicines. Discover a breadth of experience that can only come from an operation of our size, scale and ambition.
You’ll specialise in either the commercial or operations side of the business, taking on a series of placements made up of real jobs with real responsibility. Rotations could be in anything from Product Development to Revenue Optimisation and Operations Strategy. But one thing’s for sure: you’ll be making a proper difference to what we do right from day one.
3 January 2020
During the course of the two year Logistics Programme, you will have the opportunity to specialise in either the commercial or operational side of our business. Your induction programme will introduce you to the breadth of experiences that you can expect to have that define working for one of the world’s largest air cargo companies (IAG Cargo).
You’ll then start the first of a series of placements – these are real jobs with real responsibility and you’ll be supported to make a contribution from day 1. Placements are diverse; recent examples include rotations in Revenue Optimisation, Product Development, Front-Line Operations, Operations Strategy and the Portfolio Office.
Development & progression
In common with our management community, you will be expected to take ownership of your own development. Most of your learning will take place during your time in each placement with the support of your respective placement manager, so it’s really important that you make the most of each placement.
You will also have access to a Graduate mentor who will support you in your transition from University Graduate to full-fledged Air Cargo Professional. There will also be a series of learning activities specifically aimed at our Graduate community – we will let you know more details of these should you be invited to attend an Assessment Centre.
After the Programme, the world awaits. Although the vast majority of our roles are London based, former Graduates of the Programme can also be found in Madrid and Hong Kong.
We are looking for Graduates who take pride in doing things properly and getting the job done. People who are naturally curious about the air cargo business, open to new ideas and enjoy adopting a new approach to old problems. You’ll need to be a true team player who recognises that getting the job done sometimes means that you have to do the basic stuff as well.
Join our Graduate programme and you can expect a competitive starting salary of £27,500 with progression based on your personal performance.
IAG Cargo is a global freight logistics business formed in April 2011 by the merger of British Airways World Cargo and Iberia Cargo. We are the brains behind ensuring companies and individuals get their precious cargo delivered safely, securely and on time, all over the world. Our passengers often come in all shapes and sizes - quite literally. From rare animals and horses in sleepsuits to pharmaceuticals and gold bullion. We've even ensured the instruments of an international music artist arrived safely for a show.
What our people say
The level of responsibility as well as autonomy I have been given whilst on the scheme has been surprising to say the least. I have been empowered to make business decisions which have had a real impact.”
