You’ll go straight into a real role with real responsibility in the first of 3, 1-year placements. You could soon be working on the purchase of new aircraft, agreeing investments in the latest onboard products, or coming up with innovative ideas to generate revenue.
We want you to influence decisions that are a real catalyst for success. These decisions are significant and can make a huge impact on our bottom line. You’ll be given the go-ahead to challenge the status quo and use your innovative ideas to add value to everything you’re involved with.
We have influential finance teams sitting in every department. You’ll make the most of your 3 placements, spending a year absorbing everything you can from a different team. Your network will multiply.
Whichever team you’re with, you’ll quickly become an invaluable asset, gaining exposure to the breadth and depth of challenges that only one of the world's biggest and best-known airlines can provide.
Development & progression
The programme will enable you to hone your Finance acumen and strengthen your relationship-building abilities. Your line managers will take a keen interest in your development, and you'll cultivate a network of mentors. We’ll also give you the time and sponsorship to gain your preferred finance qualification – CIMA, ACCA & ACA (ICAEW) – so you can follow in the footsteps of some our most successful graduates, whether it's into Finance Business Partnering, Fleet Planning, Strategy or Financial Reporting.
We are looking for a minimum of a 2:1 degree, or equivalent, in any subject (either achieved or expected.) This role requires a high level of commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills coupled with the gravitas to influence, and win over business leaders across Head Office and beyond. The drive to succeed, with the ability to think both creatively and strategically. High level of analytical skills and financial astuteness. You will need to have the right to live and work full-time in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship from British Airways.
On this programme, you could be based in many teams within the British Airways business.
