Programme highlights
Airlines are complex, everchanging and data rich, which means that the industry provides one of the most varied and exciting places for data and analytics professionals to work. Problems like figuring out the optimal mix of aircraft to buy for the next 20 years, or how to improve overbooking set up, requires a creative approach, identifying and exploiting value from current and new data sources, applying advanced analytical techniques and visualisations. You will apply your analytical skills to influence real life multi-million pound decisions from day one, making a tangible impact on the business as your recommendations, tools and models drive key business decisions.
You will provide the analytics input into key business projects. These projects cover all aspects of the airline from Operations to Network Planning to Commercial and have a big effect on the profitability, sustainability and customer satisfaction of our company by growing revenue, reducing costs, helping to navigate risks and optimising our customer experience. Because of this, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of business functions and form close working relationships with decision makers and leaders within the business.
Across the programme, you will have the chance to develop your Data Science and Data Visualisation skills on a project by project basis across different areas of the business.

Take on a series of rotational placements that support our commercial or network teams, bringing data to life through powerful insights that drive our performance and decision-making on a huge range of commercial issues and strategic initiatives.
In Commercial, you'll often find yourself tackling an urgent analysis piece to help provide direction on a real-time issue. One that’ll most likely need a decision by the end of the day. This is the reality of the industry. Fast-paced, dynamic and full of unique challenges.
In Network, you could see the results of your analysis in the routes we fly to or the aircraft we fly there. You’ll have an influence on millions of pounds worth of investment from Day 1.
But what sets our Graduate Programme apart from other analytics-focused ones is that it offers genuine opportunities to drive our performance. You’ll be providing senior leaders with all the necessary metrics, intuitive data visualisations and data-driven insights they need to make informed decisions. Decisions that have a widespread impact everywhere from pricing of flights to marketing communications and corporate client deals.
As you progress through your placements you’ll collaborate with, and learn from, both graduates and professional colleagues, including senior management. This gives you every opportunity to cultivate relationships, make connections and build a career as ambitious as you are.
About you
We are looking for a minimum of a 2:2 degree, or equivalent (either achieved or expected) in any subject that has involved numbers and analysis. Numerical competence and an inquisitive nature, you’ll be able to identify trends, patterns and insights from data, and have a talent for communicating complex ideas.
