About the programme
At IAG Cargo we are in the business of moving things. From antibiotics to rhinoceros, gold bullion to avocados and everything in between. Whatever people need, wherever they are. In an era of digital screens and closed borders, we open the skies and fly the world to bring people the things they really need.
You will be based within our London Heathrow hub, in our operational teams, working alongside and learning from incredibly talented Cargo Agents and Team Leaders over several placements in our warehouse and clerical departments. Our operation is 24/7 so you will need to be flexible and adaptable to different shift patterns.
Your role will involve the manual handling of freight, breaking and building of units and operating equipment and machinery in a safe, secure and efficient manner. Working in a warehouse there is a big focus on safety and security, so you’ll be fully equipped with all the proper uniforms, initial training and protective equipment you need to keep you safe.
You’ll develop your skills, in a real job and with extensive training, support and hands on experience, the programme will give you everything you need to gain an Intermediate Apprenticeship (level 2) as a supply chain warehouse operative.
